The Threshold Room
The Threshold is a ten by ten foot totally dedicated meditation room. The whole room is a Faraday cage, which means it is shielded, walls, floor and ceiling with copper screening and grounded with copper rods. The metal door is also grounded. This design enables us to approximate a completely shielded environment. Research has demonstrated that ESP accuracy is enhanced when the subject is shielded is this manner. The room also is equipped with a ten-foot square copper pyramid with the angular proportions identical to those of the Great Pyramid of Egypt. Associated with the pyramid is an Amethyst Grid, a large amethyst at each corner and one at the apex of the pyramid. A CD player with meditation CDs and the Monroe Hemisync CDs and oils for attunement are provided. A large mirror is mounted high on the wall in front of the meditator as a speculum to enhance focusing and visionary experiences. Anne and Herb Puryear designed and conducted several research projects in which participants meditated a designated number of times in the Threshold Room over a 6-8 week period. They were trained in an approach to meditation to enhance communications with the spirit plane, and they recorded their impressions and experiences after each session. The reported results were dramatically successful.
